Science You Can Stir.

Because live probiotics can do what dead ones can’t.

What Are Live Probiotics?

Live probiotics are beneficial bacteria that actively interact with your skin’s microbiome. They help good bacteria thrive, crowd out acne-causing microbes, and strengthen your skin’s natural defenses.

Live vs. “Probiotic” Skincare

  • Live Probiotics (OG):

    • Alive, active, mixed fresh at home. Restore balance, clear skin, strengthen barrier.
  • Dead “Probiotics” (Other Brands):

    • Preserved extracts. Inactive. Marketed as probiotics, but technically postbiotics. Much less impact compared to live cultures.

Prebiotics

The Fuel for Good Bacteria
Prebiotics are nutrients that feed the beneficial microbes on your skin, helping them thrive. They support a balanced skin biome and promote hydration, barrier strength, and overall clarity.

We use: Inulin from chicory root — a naturally derived prebiotic that helps good bacteria grow stronger.

Probiotics

The Live Cultures That Restore Balance
Probiotics are living microorganisms that help calm inflammation, reduce acne-causing bacteria, and restore your skin’s microbiome. They actively strengthen the skin barrier and promote a clearer, more even complexion.

We use:

  • Lactobacillus acidophilus – targets acne-causing bacteria
  • Lactobacillus plantarum – reduces redness & supports healing
  • Lactobacillus reuteri – boosts skin barrier & smoothness

Postbiotics

The Skin-Soothing Finisher
Postbiotics are the beneficial byproducts left behind by probiotics. They help reduce sensitivity, protect against environmental stressors, and improve overall skin texture. Think of them as your skin’s peacekeepers.

We use:

Heat-Treated L. sakei: ProBio65™, a clinically studied strain shown to:

  • Calm inflammation, reduce redness, improve hydration and help alleviate sensitive skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis

Unlike many “postbiotic” ingredients, ours isn’t just filler. It’s a carefully selected, scientifically backed component that actively supports skin repair and resilience.
